John Edward Donald, who also signed himself as John J. Donatowicz, hides under the pseudonym The Human Elephant. In addition to the 3 albums released by Umor Rex and DYM, you may also know him as the vocalist and guitarist of the Rats Live On No Evil Stars project (Gusstaff Rec.), which he co-created with Bernd Jestram from Tarwater.
To say that his songs are dark, depressing and pessimistic is saying nothing. The sound of his voice, sometimes associated with Ian Curtis, strengthens this impression.
We will hear about John later this year on the occasion of another album, but that comes in a moment.
